Rhubarb Nut Bread

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup liquid shortening
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh rhubarb, diced
  • 1/2 cup nuts

Recipe

  • 1 mix above ingredients and put in 2 greased and floured loaf pans.
  • 2 sprinkle topping (see below) over top and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
  • 3 topping:.
  • 4 1/2 cup sugar.
  • 5 1 tablespoons butter.
