French Toast Bake

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 8 slices thick french bread
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
  • 12 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup, plus more for serving (the real thing!)
  • cooking spray

Recipe

  • 1 cube the french bread and the cream cheese.
  • 2 place half of the bread cubes in a 9 x 13 inch pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
  • 3 top with the cubed cream cheese.
  • 4 top with remaining bread cubes.
  • 5 in a large bowl beat the 12 eggs.
  • 6 stir in the milk and maple syrup.
  • 7 pour over the bread and cheese.
  • 8 cover with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator overnight.
  • 9 bake in a 375 degree oven for 45 minutes until done.
  • 10 serve with additional maple syrup if desired.
