Overnight French Toast Cream Cheese Casserole

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 8 slices bread, cubed
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, cubed
  • 12 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 layer half of the bread cubes in a greased 9 x 13 casserole dish.
  • 2 scatter the cream cheese cubes over the bread, then add the other half of the bread cubes on top.
  • 3 combine egges, milk, and syrup. pour over the casserole.
  • 4 cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • 5 in the morning, bring to room temperature, and sprinkle the nuts over the top of the casserole, lightly pressing them in with a spatula.
  • 6 bake 30 to 45 minutes in a 350 oven.
  • 7 serve with more maple syrup, if desired.
