Glazed Lemon Bread

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh lemon rind
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
Recipe
- 1 cream butter and sugar, then beat in eggs, lemon juice and lemon rind.
- 2 combine flour, baking powder and salt and stir into creamed mixture alternately with milk.
- 3 pour into greased 8"x4" loaf pan.
- 4 bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until done.
- 5 combine glaze ingredients.
- 6 remove bread from pan and immediately drizzle with glaze, then cool on a wire rack.
