Maple-cinnamon French Toast

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 16 ounces loaf french bread
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 12 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 place bread crumbs in a large casserole. in large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. gradually beat in whipping cream and maple syrup; beat until well combined. beat in eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and salt. pour mixture over bread, pressing into bread into mixture. cover and chill for 8 hours. allow pan to come to room temp, about 30 minutes. top with aluminum foil and bake at 375 for 25 minutes. remove foil and bake 18-22 minutes longer or until center is set and top is golden brown. serve with additional maple syrup.
