Ham 'n' Egg Sandwich

Ingredients

- 1 (1 lb) unsliced loaf french bread
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened, divided
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 8 slices deli ham (thin slices)
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 8 eggs, lightly beaten
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
Recipe
- 1 cut bread in half lengthwise. hollow out top and bottom leaving 1/2 inch shell.
- 2 spread inside of bread shell with 3 tbsp of butter and the mayonnaise.
- 3 line bottom of shell with ham, layer of tomato, layer of onion.
- 4 melt remaining 1 tbsp of butter in skillet; add eggs.
- 5 cook, stirring occasionally, until almost set.
- 6 spoon into bread shell; top with cheese. cover with bread top.
- 7 wrap in greased foil.
- 8 bake 15-20 minutes at 375 until heated through. cut in serving-size pieces.
