Oven-baked French Toast

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 12 slices cinnamon-swirl bread or 12 slices cinnamon raisin bread
  • 16 ounces half & half light cream or 16 ounces light cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 lightly grease a 9x13 pan.
  • 2 arrange bread in 2 layers in pan.
  • 3 in large bowl, wisk together the remaining ingredients.
  • 4 pour evenly over bread slices, pressing down until some of the liquid is absorbed and bread does not float.
  • 5 bake 350f for 45 minutes, or until center reaches 160f and bread is golden brown.
