Raisin And Almond Tea Loaf

Total Time: 1 hr 55 mins Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces margarine
  • 12 ounces caster sugar
  • 6 medium eggs (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon almond essence
  • 6 ounces ground almonds
  • 8 ounces raisins
  • 12 ounces self raising flour
  • 6 tablespoons milk

Recipe

  • 1 cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy
  • 2 add eggs a bit at a time.
  • 3 add almond essence
  • 4 lightly fold in the rest so as not to loose all that air you have beaten inches
  • 5 put into two 2 lb loaf tins (greased and lined).
  • 6 cook in a preheated oven 160 c /325f (middle shelf) for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
