James' Favorite French Bread Pizza

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf french bread
  • 24 slices pepperoni
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced thin
  • 1/2 yellow bell pepper, sliced thin
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 mix all the sauce ingredients together, allow to sit for 10 minutes and up to over night. i like it chunky, but you can choose to blend it for a smoother sauce.
  • 2 slice the bread in half lengthwise.
  • 3 top each half with a generous amount of the sauce.
  • 4 layer on the toppings; start with pepperoni, then the mozzarella, and finally the vegetables; add other veggies if desired (i enjoy mushrooms).
  • 5 dot the top of the pizza with a bit more sauce.
  • 6 bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread is crisp.
