Oatmeal Beer Bread

Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup water
- 12 ounces room temperature beer
- 1/2 cup melted butter (for top)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 grease a 5x9 loaf pan.
- 3 combine oats, flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, water and beer and put into the prepared loaf pan.
- 4 bake for 30 minutes. generously brush top of loaf with melted butter, reserving some for a second brushing.
- 5 return to oven and bake for 30-40 minutes more until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. remove from the oven and brush with reserved butter.
- 6 serve warm.
