Raised Polish Doughnuts Paczki

Ingredients

- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour
- 1 (4 ounce) package yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 5 cups flour
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 dissolve yeast in warm water
- 2 scald milk
- 3 add sugar and butter
- 4 cool to lukewarm add yeast mixture and 2 cups flour.
- 5 let rise until light
- 6 beat egg yols and egg together
- 7 add eggs and vanilla to 1st mixture.
- 8 add rest of flour and salt
- 9 knead lightly and let rise
- 10 roll dough 1/2 inch thick
- 11 cut out doughnuts
- 12 let rise untl light
- 13 fry in deep fat
- 14 glaze doughtnuts while still warm.
- 15 glaze
- 16 combine all ingredients add enough water to make mixture a medium cosistancy.
