Eggnog French Toast Sticks

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 8 slices french bread, cut into 1 inch thick slices
  • 1 cup refrigerated eggnog
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup butter, divided
  • sifted powdered sugar

Recipe

  • 1 cut bread into 1 inch wide strips.
  • 2 combine eggnog and nutmeg in a shallow bowl.
  • 3 preheat griddle to to 350º; melt 2 tbsps butter.
  • 4 dip bread sticks into eggnog mixture. cook a few at a time for 2 to 4 minutes on each side or until they are golden. add additional butter as needed to keep pan greased.
  • 5 sprinkle cooked french toast sticks with powdered sugar and serve with syrup.
