Party Casserole

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 (20 ounce) package frozen cauliflower florets
  • 1 (20 ounce) package frozen broccoli florets
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 6 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups ham, chopped
  • 3 cups fresh breadcrumbs, toosed with 4 tblsp. melted butter

Recipe

  • 1 cook cauliflower and broccoli in boiling salted water until slightly underdone.
  • 2 drain and set aside.
  • 3 melt butter in 1 quart saucepan,stir in flour and blend well.
  • 4 gradually add milk,stirring constantly until thickened.
  • 5 add cheddar,parmesan,and salt, and stir over low heat until cheese melts.
  • 6 place vegetables in an ungreased 4 quart casserole dish and sprinkle with chopped ham.
  • 7 pour cheese sauce over all.
  • 8 make a border of buttered crumbs around edge of casserole.
  • 9 bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until crumbs are lightly browned.
