Norwegian French Toast

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup irish cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 8 -10 slices raisin bread
  • butter (for frying)
  • cinnamon (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 beat eggs, milk, liqueur, sugar, vanilla, and butter in a large bowl until smooth.
  • 2 dip bread quickly into egg mixture, and pan fry in hot butter until golden brown on both sides.
  • 3 sprinkle lightly with cinnamon, if desired.
  • 4 serve hot with syrup.
  • 5 makes about 4 servings.
