Mushrooms Filled With Crabmeat

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb medium button mushroom, brushed clean
  • 1 (6 ounce) can crabmeat, well-drained and flaked
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce (to taste)
  • salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 preheat broiler.
  • 2 remove stems from mushrooms and save for another use.
  • 3 combine crabmeat with cream, cheese and seasonings.
  • 4 fill caps with mixture, mounding just slightly
  • 5 if mushrooms do not sit flat, slice a small piece off the bottom.
  • 6 make buttered breadcrumbs by melting butter in a small saute pan
  • 7 add breadcrumbs and salt and saute until golden, 2-3 minutes stirring regularly.
  • 8 sprinkle crumbs over top of mushrooms and press gently.
  • 9 transfer mushrooms to a small baking sheet with sides, then set under broiler 3-5 minutes or until mushrooms are heated through and crumbs are browned.
  • 10 serve immediately.
