Rhubarb Bread

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup hot cooked rhubarb
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon hot water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter and sugar.
  • 2 add eggs and milk.
  • 3 in a seperate bowl, mix flour, salt and soda.
  • 4 add to creamed mixture.
  • 5 add vanilla and hot rhubarb.
  • 6 pour into a 9 x 5 x 3 inch greased loaf pan.
  • 7 bake one hour at 375 or until done.
  • 8 topping:.
  • 9 melt butter in a small pan.
  • 10 add remaining ingredients and stir until well blended. pour over top of bread.
