Overnight Breakfast Casserole With Grits

Total Time: 13 hrs Preparation Time: 12 hrs Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs sausage, cooked and drained
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 (6 ounce) package cornbread mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 lb cheese, grated
  • 1 cup grits, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 1/2 cups milk, heated
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 grease a 9x13 baking dish. layer sausage and 1/2 of cheese in casserole dish. mix eggs and next 5 ingredients together. pour over sausage and top with remaining cheese.
  • 2 refridgerate overnight.
  • 3 bring to room temperature.
  • 4 bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes.
  • 5 check for doneness with toothpick inserted to come out clean.
