Polish Rye Bread With Bran

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 teaspoons yeast
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 2/3 cups flour
- 2 cups rye flour
- 2 cups wheat bran
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 egg
Recipe
- 1 heat the water and milk to lukewarm.
- 2 add yeast with 1 tablespoon honey to milk.
- 3 add 2/3 cup flour and let stand in warm place 20 minutes.
- 4 in another bowl, mix all ingredients but egg.
- 5 knead 15 minutes.
- 6 cover with cloth and let rise 90 minutes.
- 7 put into greased narrow loaf pans and let rise 2 hours.
- 8 brush with egg.
- 9 bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 40 minutes.
