Night Before Christmas French Toast

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 slices texas toast thick bread or 4 slices thickly sliced bread
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups skim milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 grease 8x8 pan.
  • 2 in a small saucepan, melt margarine and brown sugar. pour into baking pan. place bread on top of the mixture. in a small bowl, beat eggs, milk and cinnamon together. pour egg mixture over bread. cover and place in fridge overnight.
  • 3 bake uncovered at 350f for 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • 4 serve with syrup and/or fruit. to add extra calories, add extra 2 tablespoons butter or margarine and use whole milk. brunch/lunch is so easy when made the night before.
