Fried Sage Leaves Ii

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 egg
  • 30 fresh sage leaves
  • 1 ounce fine breadcrumb
  • olive oil, for frying
  • salt

Recipe

  • 1 beat the egg with a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  • 2 add the sage leaves, making sure that they are immersed, and let stand for 2 minutes.
  • 3 drain the leaves well and dip in the bread crumbs to coat.
  • 4 heat plenty of olive oil in a skillet, add the sage leaves and cook until golden brown.
  • 5 drain on paper towels.
  • 6 serve with italian cheese slices or your favorite dipping sauce.
