Raisin Bread

Ingredients
- 2 cups raisins
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup boiling water
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 mix the raisins, baking soda, and the boiling water.
- 2 cover, and let stand until cooled, about 1 hour.
- 3 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 4 lightly grease two 4x8 inch loaf pans.
- 5 in a medium bowl, mix the raisin mixture with the oil, flour, sugars, and salt, and mix well.
- 6 pour mixture evenly into the 2 prepared pans, and bake until browned, approximately 1 hour.
