Peachy Pecan Bread

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/3 cups peaches, pureed
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325 degrees f.
  • 2 in a large bowl, cream together sugar and shortening; add eggs and mix well.
  • 3 stir in peach puree and dry ingredients; add vanilla and pecans and mix well.
  • 4 pour dough into 2 (9x5) well greased and floured loaf pans.
  • 5 bake for 55 minutes to 1 hour.
  • 6 let cool 5-10 minutes before removing from pan.
