Leeks Au Gratin

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 8 large leeks, part only, halved lengthwise and cut into 6-inch pieces
  • boiling salt water
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 make sure leeks have been rinsed well.
  • 3 cook in boiling salted water until slightly tender, about 5 minutes.
  • 4 drain.
  • 5 place cut side up in a greased baking dish.
  • 6 pour cream over the leeks.
  • 7 sprinkle with cheese, salt and pepper.
  • 8 bake until cream has thickened and cheese is melted, about 10-15 minutes.
