Old South Pecan Cornbread

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup ground pecans
  • 2/3 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400*f.
  • 2 in a medium bowl mix together dry ingredients.
  • 3 in another bowl, combine eggs, buttermilk, and melted butter.
  • 4 add all at once to dry ingredients and stir until moistened.
  • 5 pour into a greased 9" square baking pan.
  • 6 bake for 20 to 25 minutes. enjoy!
