Gingerbread Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon clove

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and heat over medium heat.
  • 2 stir till sugar is dissolved.
  • 3 you can strain this through cheesecloth for a clearer syrup, or leave the spices in it.
