Ingredients
- 4 cups milk
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 -3 eggs, beaten
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
Recipe
- 1 heat 2 cups of the milk to boiling point.
- 2 add the meal slowly, stirring until thick.
- 3 remove from heat and slowly add to the beaten eggs.
- 4 add the butter and remaining milk.
- 5 sprinkle baking powder and salt on top and stir.
- 6 bake in a greased casserole dish for 55 minutes at 350°f.
- 7 when done, it should still be soft enough in the center that you need to serve it with a spoon, but brown on the outside edges.
- 8 enjoy!
