Persian Kidney Beans

Ingredients

- 4 cups cooked kidney beans
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 dash cinnamon
- 1 lime, juice of
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 small chili pepper
- salt
- pepper
Recipe
- 1 saute the chopped onion in oil. add the garlic, cumin and cinnamon.
- 2 add the lime juice, then the tomato paste and the water.
- 3 simmer for 5 minutes.
- 4 add the beans and the chili pepper and simmer for another10 minutes.
- 5 it's done when it's quite dry,.
- 6 serve stuffed into pita bread.
