Libbie's Creamed Asparagus Over Toast

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 1 lb asparagus
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 slices bread, toasted

Recipe

  • 1 cut asparagus into 1 inch pieces; cover with water and boil until tender.
  • 2 add flour to milk; stir so there are no lumps.
  • 3 drain asparagus, keeping 1 cup liquid.
  • 4 add the milk mixture, salt and pepper. cook until thick.
  • 5 meanwhile, toast the bread, cut into points (halves).
  • 6 pour creamed asparagus over toast.
