Hefezopf Friedas Bread

Ingredients
- 150 g butter or 2/3 cup butter
- 500 ml milk, scalded or 2 2/3 cups milk
- 100 g sugar or 2/3 cup sugar
- 42 g yeast or 2 (21 g) packages yeast
- 1 lemon, juice of
- 2 eggs
- 1 kg bread flour or 7 cups bread flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons sugar crystals
- 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
Recipe
- 1 add butter to scalded milk; add sugar; add yeast; beat together.
- 2 add juice of lemon and eggs; beat again.
- 3 add bread flour and salt; knead until smooth.
- 4 put in buttered bowl; cover with damp cloth; let rise until double; punch down.
- 5 on floured board, knead dough again.
