Mushrooms Polonaise

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Recipe

  • 1 saute muchrooms in the 1/2 cup butter until lightly browned.
  • 2 add the onion and cook until soft. stir in the flour and cook until thick, stirring constantly. add sour cream and whipping cream and stir well. pour into a buttered casserole dish. combine the melted butter and breadcrumbs and sprinkle over the casserole. bake at 325* for 35 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.
