Ham And Cheese Souffle

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 16 slices bread, crusts removed, cubed
  • 16 slices ham, cut into bite-size pieces (about 1 pound)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups shredded swiss cheese
  • 5 eggs, beaten
  • 3 cups milk or 3 cups half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
  • 2 1/2 cups crushed corn flakes
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375f.
  • 2 grease a 9x13 baking dish
  • 3 in the baking dish, layer half of the bread, ham, cheddar cheese and swiss cheese
  • 4 repeat
  • 5 combine eggs, milk, mustard and onion salt; pour over layered mixtured
  • 6 cover, and refrigerate overnight
  • 7 remove from refrigerator 30 mins before baking
  • 8 combine cornflakes and melted butter; sprinkle over top
  • 9 bake for 40 mins, or until hot and bubbly.
