Ham And Cheese Puff

Ingredients

- 2 lbs italian bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 6 cups ham, fully cooked and cubed
- 1 1/2 lbs muenster cheese or 1 1/2 lbs monterey jack cheese, cubed
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
- 16 eggs
- 7 cups skim milk
- 1/3 cup prepared mustard
Recipe
- 1 toss bread, ham, and cheese; divide between two greased 13-in x 9-in baking dishes.
- 2 in a skillet, saute onion in butter until tender; transfer to a bowl.
- 3 add eggs, milk, and mustard; mix well.
- 4 pour over bread mixture.
- 5 cover and refrigerate overnight.
- 6 remove from the fridge 30 minutes before baking.
- 7 bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 55-65 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- 8 serve immediately.
