Firehouse Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 lb breakfast sausage, i use jimmy dean hot
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 6 -8 anaheim chilies, sliced horizontally and seeded
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 -4 dashes hot pepper sauce (i use tobasco)
Recipe
- 1 cook and drain sausage, return to hot frying pan.
- 2 add cream cheese and stir into sausage until melted.
- 3 add black pepper to sausage mixture.
- 4 fill peppers with the sausage mixture and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. ( you want the peppers to be crisp-tender).
- 5 add tobasco sauce to each pepper to taste.
- 6 this is excellent served with cornbread and butter.
