Firehouse Stuffed Peppers

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage, i use jimmy dean hot
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 6 -8 anaheim chilies, sliced horizontally and seeded
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 -4 dashes hot pepper sauce (i use tobasco)

Recipe

  • 1 cook and drain sausage, return to hot frying pan.
  • 2 add cream cheese and stir into sausage until melted.
  • 3 add black pepper to sausage mixture.
  • 4 fill peppers with the sausage mixture and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. ( you want the peppers to be crisp-tender).
  • 5 add tobasco sauce to each pepper to taste.
  • 6 this is excellent served with cornbread and butter.
