- 1/3 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon white sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 pound green tomatoes, sliced 1/2 inch thick
Recipe
- stir together bread crumbs, sugar, salt and pepper.
- coat tomatoes in the crumb mixture.
- heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. fry tomatoes for 2 minutes on each side. drain on paper towels.
